These are not Riviera Maya cenotes. They sit around Valladolid, roughly two hours inland from the coast, and the driving is the honest cost of the day — four hours in the car, there and back.
What you get for it is Suytun: a circular stone platform in a cave, with a shaft of light falling through the roof onto it around midday. It is the most photographed cenote in Yucatán, which cuts both ways — arrive at the wrong hour and there is a queue for the platform. Oxman is the opposite: an open garden cenote with a rope swing. Xux-Ha is quieter than both.
Ask what time you would reach Suytun. The light beam only works in a narrow window and only on sunny days, and no operator can promise it.
